Our Mission

At Blackout Pickleball, our mission is simple but powerful: to create space, visibility, and opportunity for Black players in the world of pickleball, while fostering a community where everyone feels welcome.Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, yet representation within the game does not always reflect the diversity of the communities that play it. We are here to change that. By amplifying Black voices and athletes in pickleball, we aim to increase awareness, participation, and pathways for players who have historically been underrepresented.But our mission goes beyond representation. Blackout Pickleball is built on inclusivity. We believe that no matter your race, age, gender, background, or experience level, the pickleball court should be a place where you feel at home. Our community is about connection, competition, and celebration of diversity — because the game is stronger when everyone has a seat at the table.We’re not just building a brand; we’re building a movement. A movement that brings more people to the court, breaks down barriers, and shines a light on the joy, community, and opportunity that pickleball offers.Together, we can reimagine what the future of pickleball looks like: a sport that is as diverse, inclusive, and welcoming as the communities it serves.
